The Increasing Demand of Summerlin Luxury Real Estate

Summerlin luxury real estate is cordoned off into almost two-dozen “villages” that support over 100,000 residents. Summerlin is usually spotted on Top 10 Best lists in publications all over the country. From active adult lifestyles to best public schools, Summerlin is always a contender for the top spot.

The Summerlin Blueprint

The planned community of Summerlin consists of 22,500 acres of residential and commercial developments, including area parks and over 150 miles of trails. Downtown Summerlin has over 125 dining, shopping, and entertainment venues. The community hosts parades, a farmer’s market, live theater, live music, and numerous festivals.

Within Summerlin, the 150 miles of trails for walking, biking and running connect all sections of the community. Residents and visitors take advantage of this trail system to walk to and from parks, schools, businesses, and, of course, their favorite neighbor’s abodes. There are over 12 private parks within the village of Summerlin, including The Hills, which features an outdoor amphitheater.

Medical facilities are numerous in the village, convenient for patients and medical providers living nearby. Summerlin Hospital Medical Center, located in Town Center has an emergency room, a pediatric emergency room, outpatient operations, rehab clinics, a surgery center, and a pharmacy, all on the campus.

Our weather is ideal for enjoying time outdoors with leisure activity. Golf is one such way to take advantage of the climate. Homes in The Ridges community of Summerlin are in proximity to Bear’s Best Golf Course, named “The best daily-use course” by Golfer’s Digest. Jack Nicklaus himself chose the design and layout.

Summerlin Parkway is an easy access point to the I-215 Beltway that leads right to Downtown Las Vegas, The Strip, and McCarran International Airport.

Appointments of Summerlin Luxury Real Estate

Entertaining is in the DNA of Las Vegas, and examples of forethought for entertaining within Summerlin homes include sliding glass pocket doors for continuous indoor/outdoor space. Swim up bars in the pools, occasionally located near elaborate outdoor kitchens and abundant patios give way to hours of backyard entertainment.

Walk through an interior courtyard that blends architecture with the desert scenery. For warmth on those cool desert evenings, a fireplace in the living room and a fire feature in the outdoor living space extend the heat of the day. Adjacent to the dining area, a sleek wine cellar provides for easy access to your favorite vintage.

Extended outdoor living space contributes to the spectacular location with a mountain sunrise view. Begin your day with a serene appreciation of nature when the sun peeks above the crests of the Spring Mountain range. Enjoy the stillness of the desert beside your pool.

Community Resorts at Summerlin

Amenities are numerous within the villages of Summerlin, but the crown jewel is Club Ridges. Club Ridges is a 9,000-square-foot state-of-the-art fitness facility exclusively for residents of The Ridges. The club includes five lighted tennis courts, a family-style resort pool, heated lap pool, tennis lounge, locker rooms and steam rooms. The clubhouse is well appointed, as is the list of organized activities. Adults and children have access to sport-related programs and clinics through the club.

Sun City Summerlin is the largest active-adult community in Nevada. Choose activities based on community groups, sink putts on one of the three golf courses or catch up with neighbors in an air-conditioned clubhouse. You can choose from 42 different home styles, ranging from luxury condos to lavish estates.

The Future of Summerlin

Summerlin continues to grow its luxurious reach. The next phase of the planned community is The Summit Club, a lifestyle collection of homes and concierge services adjacent to The Ridges. The Howard Hughes Corp. and Discovery Land Co. of Scottsdale, AZ., teamed up to raise the bar in the village.

This new section resides on a parcel of the original property purchased by Howard Hughes himself in the 1950s when Summerlin was just a vision. Hughes traded a portion of his initial acquisition to allow for a buffer zone near part of the Conservation area while he received acreage more suitable for residential building.

The Summit Club is a tribute to The Rat Pack from the 1960s. Pack member, Frank Sinatra referred to his cronies as The Summit. One of the Discovery Land Co. partners took the endearing term and used it as a theme for this project to echo the luxe living enjoyed by the marquis-headlining artists.
